We stayed in between the islands at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground. There were lots of rabbits in the campground and we saw our first armadillo!
We went to St. Simons Island and saw Fort Frederica, the remnants of a fort and town built to protect the southern British colony of Georgia from Spanish raids from Florida.
Jekyll Island is a great island to walk and bike. There are paths around the whole island. You can walk or bike the beach for miles. It’s large, flat, at extends the whole distance of the Atlantic Ocean side of the island. There aren’t many shells, but there are lots of sand dollars. At the northern end of the island is driftwood beach. All I can say is Wow.
