We actually stayed at Allison Creek Campground in South Carolina, 45 minutes south of Charlotte. The campround just opened in October. This is our last stop on the trip before heading back home. We had one day in Charlotte, but unfortunately it rained. We did take the Funny Bus, which is an R-rated comedy city tour. It was a lot of fun.
This trip exceeded our expecations. We enjoyed escaping the Pennsylvania winter and avoiding some of the high temperatures we’ve encountered during summer trips. The moderate weather is much nicer to be out all day in. With it getting dark earlier, we were forced to slow down at night, relax, and be full of enjoy for the next days activities. We could even have a drink and enjoy a sunset all before dinner.
